You should be updating your plugins every day that you visit your page.

To do this, the first thing you need to do is go to your Updraft plugin and create a backup of your site. We do this to make sure that if a plugin crashes your site, you have a backup available.

To get to Updraft, you need to hover over settings on the left bar on your dashboard and click UpdraftPlus Backups

When you get to that page you need to click the Backup Now button. Once your site is backed up you are ready to update your plugins. Plugins are found on the left side of your dashboard above settings.

Plugins that need to be updated will have a yellow bar below the name asking you to update.

Click the update now link to start the update. Make sure you only update one plugin at a time. Two plugins actively trying to update will cause an error.
